ABOUT
In 2001 director and co-founder Vanessa Donkin, a Royal Ballet trained ex-professional dancer and recent graduate of the RAD's PDTC met Claire McNicholl, a ballet enthusiast and young mother who was looking for a ballet school for her eighteen month old daughter, Estée. As a result of this chance meeting and a shared desire to provide exceptional classical ballet tuition with the emphasis on enjoyment The Ballet School London was born!
Starting with just six pre-schoolers in a small venue in Notting Hill eighteen years on the school currently has over a thousand pupils and operates in several locations across London. Remaining true to its ethos The Ballet School consistently achieves outstanding results in examinations and has seen several pupils progress to the highest calibre of vocational training whilst retaining its ability to conduct fun, inspirational classes for any child, regardless of ability, with a desire to learn.
